Save Winston! Fundraiser @ The Frogmore

The amazing folks at The Frogmore are hosting a fundraiser for Winston on Wednesday, November 7th! For those of you who don't know, our peppy pup was recently diagnosed with Stage V Lymphoma. Chemotherapy treatments are highly effective (we've noticed a huge improvement over the last month!) but also highly expensive. We are beyond thankful for Alex & the team at The Frogmore to host this event for us. 

Free snacks from 6pm - 8pm, including Owen's warm homemade pretzels!

Proceeds from drinks throughout the entire evening will go towards the Winston fund!

If the weather is decent, we'll have Winston outside on their patio for free slobbers!

They have an amazing line-up of arcade games!

It's a double charity whammy! If you dine at The Frogmore that evening, proceeds from food are going to Dining for a Difference, specifically the group KIND which offers advocacy and legal assistance to immigrant children and their families!

THIS IS A WIN-WIN-WIN, people! We can't wait to see you!

We're back and ready to party under the moonlight! What better way for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary than to throw a rockin' celebration with our favorite friends and fans?

On Wednesday, September 7th, JP Beer Garden will be hosted by Townsman for an epic Late Night/Industry Night party. The menu will be COMPLIMENTARY! and will include some of your favorites*:
-Warm Pretzel with homemade Bavarian mustard
-Chicken Schniztel Slider with bone marrow-Bavarian mustard aoili & salsa verde
-Smoked Beef Tongue Slider with muenster cheese & dill pickle
-Boudin Noir Brat with apple mustard & smoked nuts

The Townsman/JPBG team will also be working with some familiar local breweries to offer up some cheap swigs & innovative beer cocktails. And of course, we will be bringing a well-curated playlist to keep the room groovin'! 

This may be the last pop-up for a bit to allow us to truly hit the pavement in search for a future home for JP Beer Garden, so we hope to see you all there to raise a glass (or three)!

Chances are, you answered yes to all of the above questions (only the COOLEST kids visit our website, after all). And therefore, you're in luck! We are so pumped to announce our Summer Series of Sunday Funday Backyard Pop-Ups: June 14th, July 12th, and August 9th, from 1pm - 4pm.

Tickets include a custom Ogusky-JPBG ceramic beer stein ($30 retail value - bring it to our future brick & mortar to receive a little something complimentary from us!), live music (Morris & the East Coast), and all-you-can-consume food & beer (grilled brats, including a veg-friendly option, along with pretzels & sides ... Mystic and Allagash will be pouring!).

Finally! Lizzie & Owen return to Jamaica Plain for their next pop-up at their home away from home, Tres Gatos. Beer flights & pairings are still being ironed out, see below for Owen's small & shareable menu from Owen, and of course live vinyl spinning with TG's book & record shop open in the back.


No tickets for this one, but reservations are strongly recommended. Call Tres Gatos at 617-477-4851 or reserve through their website (make sure you put in your reservation notes that you are reserving for JPBG!) to secure your table before it's too late!

10/26 JP Beer Garden @ The Hawthorne

For their October Pop-Up, the JP Beer Garden team is headed down to Kenmore Square to showcase what they hope to be the vibe at their outdoor beer garden... only inside, at The Hawthorne. Home to one of Chef Owen's first gigs (he was on the opening team at Eastern Standard almost ten years ago), join them as they collaborate on sausages (including a vegetarian one!), pretzels, beer cocktails, & more.

Doors open at 2:30pm - come after brunch, before dinner... Purchase tickets in advance ($20), or RSVP and pay the door ($30): ticket price includes a welcome stein of beer and access to all food. Sausage stations will include local beer pairings ($3 half, $6 full pour), and The Hawthorne will be concocting special JPBG cocktails at the bar ($9). Try every station and win fun swag!

JP Beer Garden Dinners

For the second & third pop-up dinners from the JP Beer Garden team, Chef Owen Royce-Nagel will be presenting a sit down, multi-course meal showcasing the cuisine of Alsace & points east - the cuisine he hopes to serve at their future restaurant. Co-Chef Daren Palacios will provide culinary assistance and sausage trivia, and Somm-To-Be/Cicerone Beer Queen Lizzie Szczepaniak will be offering large steins of beer and goblets of her favorite wine in pairings.


Doors will open at 6:30pm, dinner begins at 7:00pm. Ticket price includes dinner and drinks - cash gratuity to be collected at the conclusion of the evening. All proceeds go towards the JP Beer Garden's dream of finding a home for their restaurant!

Jack-of-all-Trades Daren Palacios will present a sit-down, multi-course meal featuring all things Quacky. Co-Chef Owen Royce-Nagel will provide Duck Assistance, and Somm-To-Be & Cicerone-Certified Lizzie Szczepaniak will offer to her Daffiest Drink Pairings.
